This time of year I usually look for sheds. That allows me the chance to see where all the deer activity was this past season, and maybe even see what bucks made it through. Also, in a month or so it will be time to put out those annual food plots, such as soybeans, corn, chicory, etc. This is a very important time of year to make sure that your deer, does and bucks, have enough minerals to last them during their antler growing or nursing period. The does need minerals to keep them healthy while they are carrying and nursing their young. The bucks need lots of protein and minerals while they are growing their anlters from the end of april to the end of july. Good luck on the summer plans.;)

I was out yesterday increasing the size of a food plot...ie cutting briars, over hanging limbs, moving brush and ect. Our farm is mostly wooded and alot of it was butchered by timbermen before we bought it....we are just trying to increase food plot number and size to help attract deer and hold them. like mentioned earlier we will be planting food plots when warm enough.

Going to maybe plant a couple of small plots this weekend. A couple weeks ago just went exploring one day and found AMAZING trails. So I found a few trees to slide up, cleared lanes around the trees, place mineral and salt blocks near and am putting a little plot around the trees

This week I tilled up last years plot to re-do. I tilled up one that I haven't redone fore the last 3 or four and am planing on tilling up another new one or two this weekend! I'm planing on putting a mineral lick at each plot. I have never shed hunted but I think I might try this weekend! I'm also watching my camera and am finding alot of does so will probably need to thin those out this year!
