Does anyone use them for hunting? I've found some pretty nice ones for under a hundred bucks. I think I'd rather wear a ghillie than woodland camo.

They work good as far as hiding but they get hot inside them.

I got a mesh gillie suit last year from Uncle Lees. It was only like 20-30 bucks on sale. its held up great.

They are the original "camo". I have been wanting one, I know a guy that wears one and basically crawls through the woods deer hunting...I think he is a little crazy but always tags out every year. I have talked to people that made their own for around $30, get some burlap, thick thread, and a few rolls of yarn from walmart. Its take a couple hours they said but if you are trapped inside on a rainy day with nothing to do its ok.
I've made several in my days. There are differences. If you want a stalking one thats completely ragged out. Then there is a low crawling one that is ragged on the sides and back. the stalking on is difficult to low crawl in, because of the snagging. They are just like anything esle, sometimes they work great and sometimes they don't.

The more natural stuff that sticks to them, the better you blend in. I think I'm gonna get one.

I have a mesh one that I use mainly for turkey hunting, it works good for the hot days I were a t-shirt and shorts under it and stay pretty cool. the only draw back is the briars get hung in it some, but I love mine,
