While working the big buck booth at the strader show last yr, I saw a lot of nice deer brought in, but this one stood out and the guy said he took it in shelby co a few yrs back, I try to keep my camera with me all the time, glad I had it there, I'm hoping a lot more great bucks come out of the woodwork this yr, I'll be ready to share them.

BTW, I think this one grossed in the 170's and netted in the low 150's because of deductions.

It really stood out

That is a nice one. I have a question for you. Can I bring my antlers from the taxidermist to get them at least scored? I know that they can't be put into the contest, but I would at least like to get an official score on them.

Yeah lab there were a ton of racks brought in last yr , not mounted, Mike Roberts scored a bunch for Pope and Young, and Dale Weddle(Bowcrazy) also scored for buckmasters, then if it was Boone and Crockett class they have the Dept of Fish and Wildlife set up scoring also. Bring it out

Boat show starts on the 24th and runs for 7 days. The Strader show is Feb 13th -15th. Tony, there are a lot of great bucks coming out of Shelby! I know you have taken and seen some monsters there and just in the last 3 years on our property, we have taken a 150", 143", 140" 135", 130", 116", 118", and several others I have gotten on the trail cam that would be poss. record books in 1 or 2 years. I think I'll keep on hunting in Shelby Co!!!

When you guys go, check out the full body mount 10 point, 171 net that will be next to Troy Gentry's big ten. Troy mounted the buck and did a fantastic job. The deer belongs to my best friend Gary Tracy. It was killed in Hart CO. during the modern firearms season near Magnolia. It was officially scored last Sunday and grossed around 176 Typical. Anyone interested in having a full body mount done or any other, I'd suggest you contact Troy, he's turning out some fine work.
