I own 3 870's, a wingmaster, an express and an express super magnum. IMO these great pump guns very reliable.

Ditto. I have the exact same guns as steelslinger. Great guns. My 870 supermag is the turkey gun, 22" (I think) barrel. You may have to do a little shopping for another choke, but I've never had the first hiccup out of the gun.
I recently picked up a Benelli Nova for a longer barreled 3 1/2" for duck hunting, I really like it as well.

I also own 3 870s with 4 different barrels 30" 28" 26" and 24 or 24" turkey barrel. I cleaned one this weekend that I forgot to clean for some time (been through dove season, and most of rabbit season and probably last turkey season). Man the gunk in there was so thick it came out in gobs and you know what -- it never malfunctions.
Drop em in the mud, run over em with your truck, drop em out of a duck boat --whatever -- pick em up and shuck another round in and they shoot. I'll leave those fancy nice shooting guns to the other guys -- give me an old 870 any day.
The neat thing about them is I have one that is 20+ years old and I can exchange barrels, or parts between it and my 5 year old turkey gun. They have with stood the test of time and changed very little.
