WoW, Urban Deer are really thriveing. Accross from my home (In the city) I've been watching the same group of now (9) deer, almost every evening. Today, while going to the farm to check cameras (And get to woods!!!) I was driving past a new subdivision area recently cleared and road installed. Out grazing in the fields of winter wheat (I'm assuming they were planted in this to prevent water runoff & erosion problems) Were 25+ Deer, it was about an hour before dark.

Quiet a sight, I usually don't see a field that full except on The Outdoor Channel. Anyway, this is right off a major highway and a heavily populated area.

Just thought I'd share. Sure would be nice to hunt these deer instead of letting them eventually meet an automobile HEAD ON!

There was a magazine article last year that listed the top 10 cities in the U.S. (yes, inside the city limits) to deer hunt in. #3 was Louisville. I think most cities have laws against hunting, therefore the reason for all those deer bouncing off the cars!
