For you older guys that have traveled 75 over the years I have a snow question. Im supposed to leave in the morning to go to the beach with some friends and I was wondering how you all think 75 will be after a night of snow. Are they pretty good about about keeping it clear? Im leaving from lexington and will be heading south. Im most worried about the stretch from Williamsburg--Jellico--and on into TN. Any input would be very much appreciated.

i don't know that you could call me older, 27, but i've been up and down 75 about 3 million times for various reasons, and depending on the temps, it should be in fair condition, because according to the weather man that area wont get hit as hard as lexington, etc. i would be careful about jellico mtn. though. and the stretch from livingston to london could be bad.

The road crews always work the enterstates. May be down to one lane tho, but once you get passed Whitley County it should be all rain. Just take it easy and be safe.

You can also in the morning call 511. Its the traffic and travel for ky highways. They will give you road conditions, accidents and road construction.

there will be snow well south of whitley county.. don't know what you guys are looking at. but they are giving 3-6 inches of snow for much of TN, and 1-3" further into GA, it will be a messy time for travel but more than likely you'll do fine but only have one lane........

Stay home. It's bad. They are scraping sections of it off but it's getting covered up fast again. I just got off of it at 5AM today. It's SLICK!!!

Thanks guys, good luckin out weedwalker. Were weighing our options, I have a 4-wheel drive suv, so does another person, but the third is in a van so I think were gonna give the crews a few hours before we had out this morning. I would hate to be stuck on Jelico mountain (as I call it). But thanks for the advice guys!

MAN UP!

This is your Spring Break. It's all about adversity. You are going to make due with little money, natural light, sleezy motels and hotdog buffets for the next week while in search of good, wholesome, moralistic young women. Don't let a dusting of snow get in your way of that!!! I swear, if I could come through this screen and THROW you into that SUV and strap your hands to the steering wheel, I WOULD!:D
