Is anyone going to go hunting this spring with a DXT? I just bought one about a month ago and was wanting some feed back from people. I love mine. Shoots good.

Congrats on your new bow. I think you will love it. It is the best bow I have every shoot bar none. You cant beat mathews. Im ready for Turkey season.

I love mine..still tinkering with it, but it has practically zero shock. I put some fuse sights on it...need the smaller pin because they are bright and I get the starburst effect. Mine is set at 60lbs...probably not the fastests bow, but it sure is smooth.

I got my new DXT friday. I don't know if I will take it out for turkey or not. It is a sweet shooting bow. I put Extreme 4 pin sight and Extreme ACAD stabilizer with matching camo on the bow.

If anybody needs a good quiver you can get one at treelimb.com cheap. Nice to. They have them in lost camo to match the bow. Beats spending a 100 bucks for a mathews quiver.

I'll be using my SwitchBack XT. I've been looking at the DXT and really like the way it feels. I've been practicing shooting sitting on a stool and out of the DB Matrix since January. I shoot the Optimizer Lite Elite XL sight, Beman Team Realtree MFX shafts, and Rocket Hammerheads. However, I'll also be carrying the TC Encore 20 gauge as a back up. One thing I did get for Turkey season is the Double Bull Wild Thing backpack. It designed specifically to carry a blind and bow along with all other accessories. Very handy tool for the turkey bowhunter!

Do you all crank down the poundage for turkey or use deer poundage?

Im not going to change my poundage. But im only shooting 63 pounds. Some people do but I dont think it really matters. Its all in shot placement and being able to get drawed back in a tight place.

I saw in the turkey forum where one guy takes a treble hook and cuts it so there are 3 hooks and places 2 of them on his arrow shaft so it wont pass through. I might try that this year. I found it to be very interesting. It just may work well.

Been shooting mine for about two weeks now. Really nice bow. It will be in the woods on the 12th!

Don't do that, I think that would be illegal. Look at the Archery Equipment regs. Leave your poundage as is.

Yea I will check my regs before I even think about doing it. I just though it was kinda of creative. Anything that you do that is legal that makes the kill more lethel is a good thing. The last thing any of us want to do is shoot a bird and it get away and suffer. That was my only thoughs behind it.

Before I even think about letting a arrow go at a bird this year I will have to be very confident it my shot. Im still going to hunt with my trusty 12 guage untill I kill that first one. Then I will pull out the old stick and string and try my luck.
