Suker Gig'n

Anyone on here gig or bow hunt sukers. I went a few years ago and had a blast. We took a little guy bout 8 and he had the time of his life I think he got 2 or 3 on one riffle, they were small but he didn't know any different! Last year the water wasn't right and I never caught them running. I'm just hopeing its right this year!

I use to gig and grabhook them. Seems like the water don't clear up until turkey season anymore and then I'm preoccupied with them. Use to have a ball.

I love to gig rough fish in the spring! I recently bought a recurve bow that I am trying to outfit to bowfish with. This spring I am gonna take it and my gig along.
Last year I really hammered the suckers and got a HUGE gar too. Honestly the thing scared me when I finally got it out of the water.
Where abouts are you located? Maybe we can go giggin sometime soon...

I'm near Rough River! Suckers remind me of a Koi Carp. The bigest I've sen was only 4-5 lbs. but they are fast and hard to gig until you get the hang of it!
