This may belong in another forum but regardless, just let the mutt out for her nightly wizz and heard spring peepers in full chorus. Not sure what it means in general, but to me it means spring!! It's 30F here, the little boogers have got to be cold.

I'm hearing them right now. They're gonna be in for a surprise tomorrow when there's 6" of snow and ice on the ground. :)

The dog and I were out last night marking our territory and heard the same thing. It didnt sound like a FULL chorus, but there were a few out there.

On a different note. I know there are some photographers on this site. Spring Peepers are very easy to photograph. One thing I have learned about them is the warmer it gets the higher they will get up in the weeds. If it is cold they will be right down next to the ground. Basically you just wander out where they are making noise with a flashlight and follow the sound. When they shut up just stand and wait. When they kick off resume your search. Eventually when you locate one you can get your camera pretty close to them before they decide to leave the area! They will keep on peeping while you are shooting.

Yea, I have heard them the last two nights. I hope they have their longjohns for this snow coming in.

Well they're not out tonight, the white stuff is coming down sideways! Think that was the fastest wizz the ol' vizsla ever laid down.
