I am headed home this weekend for a week of clearin trees, killin yotes and getting a couple new stand areas on the right path. I'm waiting on the food plots until probably may so frost will be less likely to get it. But I was always told now is the time to get a lick started. If so what does everybody use. I've been told to go get a 50# of trace mineral at a feed store, but what else would be good to add so I could get it spread in a couple of stands. Thanks

What we use is about 50 lbs of salt, 75-100 lbs of trace and 40-50 lbs dicalciam.

I just use the blocks they are easy to handle on a 4-wheeler. I use both white or brown. Now is the time cause they are tearing mine up right now. I noticed one time on the KY state fish and wildlife website they had something about how to mke your own mix. you might want to check that out!
