Has any one used one of these I think they are made by Humminbird I just wonder if they work? I do a lot of creek fishing and farm pond fishing from the bank so sounds like it might be a good investment for me or even a great B-Day or Christmas gift.

Depending on the type of fishing your doing. I bass fish 14 hour tournaments and mine didn't last too long. Neither does the cordless foot pedal.

LOL!! I know that as soon as I get rid of it, I will wish I had one.. I keep telling myself that I'm going to use it.. I have taken it a few times with me when I go camping/trout fishing.. For some reason, I leave it packed up in the tent.. Kinda like the Browning float tube still in the box that I had to have..

I seen someone with this before. Was a watch looking item on his wrist, he casted the finder and slowly reeled it in and looking at his wrist at the same time. Complete was of time if you ask me and ridiculous.

That is where these gadgets excel. You can then see what the fish are feeding on and match it.
I swear!

Hey, it never hurts to ask:). You should give it a try sometime, you may be surprised.

I've had 2 of them, if you are using them in creeks and farm ponds it might work. I've used one in 5-10 acre ponds to find brush and trees and it actually does pretty good at that. I've taken one for the past two years to Minnesota and it didn't do so well. The first time it worked OK for a couple of days and then started crapping out at 30 feet. In the canoe I was dragging the transducer behind the canoe and had the watch part on the rail in front of me. When you're trying to find lakers at 90 feet that ain't gonna cut it. I returned that one, got another and used it in small lakes bank fishing and other than the hassle of casting it out it was OK. That one crapped out after day 3 last year, I think it has something to do with the water up there being so full of iron or the granite affecting the transducer although when I talked to the people at the company they said there just wasn't any way that was so.

This year I'm going to upgrade to one of the more expensive models of portables but if you are bank fishing and want to get a little look at the structure and depth then you might enjoy it.

I bought one last year but only got to use it two times. I have used it 3 times this year and it put me on crappie all 3 times out. If your like me and fish the same local lakes I think they are pretty good. Just take the time before u start fishing and cast the transducer out and do a little search,I think if mine broke i would upgrade 60 more bucks and get the other units, but 4 now i'll just keep it till it quits... Good luck if ya get one!
