Just curious if anyone has been catching fish on something rather than the float-n-fly?? I have heard of a few people catching some nice large mouth and smallmouth on jerk baits:confused:

Several weeks ago I had some crank baits, (Wee Baits) made up and called Wes to see if they were ready.
He replied, "that the pond next to his house had a sheet of ice on it and as soon as it melted" he would run the crank baits in the water before I purchased them ... it was 13 degrees that Wednesday.

The weather shot up to 48degrees that Saturday, and while testing the crank baits in the water he caught four bass in the two to two and a half pound range ...

I'd say the bite is on ...

Thats all I been fishing since Jan. 1 And they are producing. Shure the bite isn't fast but it is working. I've fish about a hour or two on probably 10 diferent days since then when the water clarity is between 2 and 4 ft. and it is in the 50's usualy a few days after a rain or right before. I use a Lucky Craft Pointer 65SP in white or a holografic shad color they got and me and my buddy have caught 50+ fish already! I got a few on small cranks all my fish have come from water between 3-6 ft. deep. Get out there man your miss'n some good action!

Str8, are you catching your bass on jerkbaits around main lake points, seconds, or what?
