The best thing I like about the last day is that it is not the end of a season but the biginning of another. Listening to all the great success stories this deer season makes me glad that I joined this site. Thanks to all!

This fall was the best in years. I got to pheasant hunt with my brothers, nephew, and my dad. We'd never all bird hunteed together. Saw the biggest mule deer I've ever seen. Got to spend time with my son and daughter outdoors. I also got to mule deer bow hunt with my dad for a few days. He'll be 70 this year and has lived through a plane crash, botched kdney surgery, and me and my brothers. I hope I get to hunt with again this year and a few more. Oh, I even managed to tag a few deer. I'd have to say this was the best hunting season yet! Now to change the draw and poundage on those kids bows, fletch' em up some new arrows, get the wide ready for all three of us to have cabin fever.... The list is endless.

You guys make me want to drink beer a cry...........not really, but your all correct. Even though it sucks this one is over, the next one can always be better than this year. Good luck to all. Be safe.

This is also my first year. I have enjoyed talking to all of the people on this board, and getting some valuable information on a wide variety of subjects. Now that deer season is over, I guess it will be time to start talking turkey.
Will most of you guys switch over to the turkey hunting board?

Day after last day. Didn't get to hunt last weekend due to work. Went up to my cabin last night to get a few things and fill up feeders. Hadn't been there going on three weeks. Midway through filling feeders, I looked up and a dandy crossed the ridge about 60 yds out. Didn't see him all of season. If poachers leave him alone, he will be even better next year.

Spend the last morning on stand in a steady snowfall, guess that memory will have to last until fall. Didn't see anything, but it was a good hunt.

Hey, those honey holes are few and far between. If you find a good one, you have to keep it for yourself.

Did anyone notice how many deer were checked in on the last day of the deer season? There was 500 or more checked in the last day. I guess there were a lot of deer that didn't want to live any longer or a lot of lucky hunters!

Yea, The local paper had a story about how the numbers jumped in the last week. Sure wish I'd been one to stick a late season tenderloin snack!!![;)]

i hate to think the worst of people, but my theory is some have killed small bucks but didnt use thier tag in hopes of a bigger buck. since they didnt get a bigger one, they tagged or tele-checked a deer theyve probably already consumed
