Nice fish Joe, where you fishing specifically for muskie or catch him fishing for other stuff ? Are the blues bitin' yet? The stripes should be picking up here, haven't tried them yet, hopefully in the next week or two.Congrats.............

I was fishing for Muskie, 6" sassy shad, 1 oz leadhead, mouth of a creek. Only hit I had.

I couldn't find any shad. Didn't try for cats...

I guess if you've only gotta get one bite then, that would be a pretty good one to get.
Congratulations!
That's a fine Musk!

Beautiful fish. I've never caught a Muskey, but man, one like that would be worth a 1,000 casts. Shoot, there are days a 1,000 casts for bass, and I still have a skunk in the boat....LOL

Nice catch. Ever want to teach a novice, and of course want to help that novice with picking out tackle, as I have nothing strong enough to handle that brute.... drop me a line.

I actually like to fish for long nose gar. On Barkley and KY Lakes when they are rolling, I'll fish for them. I need to get some wire leaders, so they don't break off so easily, but even the few minutes I have them on the line, they are a ton of fun. They jump, pull, dive, you name it, they do it, plus they'll take a plug from your hand while trying to get your hook back if you are not carefull.
