BPS Spring Fishing Classic

BPS Spring Fishing Classic starts this weekend. Some of the pro's will be at the store Saturday & Sunday having seminars. Anyone going??

I'm gonna go Sunday, I think I'll take my 7 y.o. daughter because they are having a kids fishing pond with some catfish. I'm wanting to go fishing so bad I may take the rod from her:p.

I usually stock up on all the esentials during the spring sale, big spools of line and things like that. I'll probalbly have to go back a second time without the wife so she doesn't see how much I spend!

I made the mistake of going to BPS on the 1st Saturday of the Spring sale. I wanted to let my kid fish in the fishing pond, she did, and she couldn't have cared any less. So that was a dissapointment. Then we went inside, you couldn't go 3 steps without have to say: sorry, pardon me, excuse me, your fine, and so on....I tried to pick up some jig heads but I've seen shorter lines at Kings Island! There were strollers as wide as the isle just sitting there while mom looks curiously at a bag of "Brush Hogs" http://www.ohiogamefishing.com/forums/images/smilies/confused.gif wondering what exactly you are supposed to do with'em. We rushed out of the fishing area to Boats and ATV's, of course the 7 year old with me wants to climb onto and into everyone of them while screaming, DADDY LOOK! My wife drags me to clothing, shoes, camping, and we are right back out the door. I didn't buy anything, there was no way I was gonna stand in line to buy hooks. I went yesterday and picked up a bunch of the terminator spinners. I love those things for farm ponds.

I'm going to wait and go on the 15th. so I can get my Military discount. The discount is good from the 15th. to the 22nd each month in case anyone didn't know.....
