When I went turkey hunting a while back it was my dad and I and we were in the middle of a small patch of brush in the middle of a field. Well we sat there and called for the turkeys and listened; Then a couple of does ran out in front of us in the field and were playing around, we just sat there and watched them. Then I guess one of them caught our scent and started walking towards us. We sat as still as we could until it got about 10 feet away from us and bowed its head and sat there and stared, then it got spooked and ran away. The other one just sat there where it orginally had been and stared our way. We were pretty sure it was staring at us but about 15 minutes later a huge Tom all strutted out walked I say about 5 feet away from me. It saw our decoy and got all strutted out and attacked the decoy then started walking away I was reaching quietly and slowly for my gun and pulled the gun to my shoulder and pulled the trigger and packed it in.:)

Got a crazy one.. Years ago a buddy and myself was hunting a farm we always had luck with.. It seemed during midday you could leave one end of the farm and hear birds on the other end.. So it was about that time and we started walking to the other end when we heard some yelping.. We sat down in the woods next to a clearing to listen.. Soon after we seen a hunter down the hill on the other side of the creek walking and yelping.. We both kind of looked at each other and smiled.. My buddy asked if I had a gobbler call on me, and I did.. Well, we took turns shaking it and watching this guy kneel, crawl, and hind behind trees while we laughed.. This went on 10 to 20 minutes, when my buddy ran out in the opening shaking the gobbler call in one hand and holding his gun between his legs with the other, while doing a rocking motion on his gun.. I couldn't stand for laughing so much.. He then took off running up the hill in the clearing shaking the gobbler call leaving me there.. I got up to run, but it was like running in a dream.. I felt like I wasn't moving because I was still laughing myself to tears.. I kept waiting to hear a shot or to get peppered by this guy, but still I was in slow motion.. Good thing that creek was up..
