I like his hardnose style, but he seems a little like Ol' Bob in this case

I am not taking either persons side here. But i feel like we are not getting the hole story here. Seems to me that there is something missing. Billy G the next Bob Knight? I don't know about that. I gotta see chairs go flying across the floor first.:D

At least the General would have let him explain himself...Always two sides to every story......

Billy G. only hopes that he ends his career even close to what Bob Knight has accomplished in his history.
INCLUDING tossing the chair. :D

yea, I am leary of the one sidedness of the story as well. But if the reason stated was the real reason, then I find it funny that the walk on is gone but the 6' 11" other party is still on the team...

I saw Mills and Williams laughing and I got pi$$ed too.
It's his team he can do what he wants.
I bet Williams will be gone at season's end anyhow, so Coach G didn't worry about kickin his butt off yet.

I think what his H.S. coach said about him says alot.Maybe someone should have told him he wasn't in grade school anymore

The Difference between the two players is more than their height. One is on scholarship the other a walk on two different sets of team rules.

If the Coach felt like the kid needed to go, then it is his right to make that happen. The only thing I question is, if the process went down as described in the article, is his doing it in an open office instead of behind closed doors, and his use of profanity. Don't get me wrong, i cuss like a sailor, so much so that my 3 year old has picked up a few pet phrases:o. However, in spite of the BIG MONEY that is so pervasive in NCAA sports today, the coaches are still teachers, the players are still young men and women that are at the university to learn and prepare for life. I just feel like the 'in your face, yelling, cussing' method might not be the best to get things like this taken care of. On the practice court to get their attention, sure, but, one on one, well past the heat of the moment, maybe not. This is not limited to Coach G by the way, it seems to be pervasive in all sports these days.

i seen them cuttin up and found it embarrassing, two uk boys down there pushing and laughing while bradley lays on the floor.
kicked off the team is a little tough but who am i... BCG gets paid big bucks to do his job and he knows more about it than me. if mills wants on the team that bad he'll try to get back on.
i think it is a example being made of how Billy is going to run this program. i am behind billy 100%, i think he is a true leader.

I agree with Pentail. If it indeed went down the way the artical said then it could have been handled differently. If he was indeed cussed like a bay mule in front of other people then Billy G was in the wrong. No sense in cuttin' down a kid in front of god and everyone when your already kicking him off the team. If you want to keep him and teach him a lesson then its a bit different. Very easy to loose the respect of your players like that. Like I said, if it did go down that way.
