ran the cat off this turkey by accident. looks like I shoulda been trapping there. He'd already eaten the beard into at the base, so it was laying everywhere; atleast he still had his hooks.

Was this in Barren, Hart or Edmonson? Only thing rougher than a bobcat on a turkey flock is a young family of ten Amish.

Natural Selection at its finest. It's all in the predator-prey relationship.

I agree with wackemandstackem
Its just part of natures way...now if a housecat had done this it would upset me.
Did you guys know housecats kill 560 million + birds annually in the U.S. this includes quail (which are really hit hard), turkey, ducks, and other game birds.
Do all sportsmen a favor and keep cats inside or better yet don't have a cat at all....:)

yeah, there's no better predator than a cat. Don't forget the rabbits they get as well.....

You should have let him finish it off. Now he has to go kill another one ;)

I agree with the last statement--take it back and leave it where you found it maybe he'll come back and finish his meal--if you have a cam put it up and you might get a pic

If you ever find this during season the cat WILL return to finish it. Keep that on the back burner.

I did leave it. Wasn't really anything I could do with it and I tend to leave nature to itself. Just borrowed the spurs from the ole boy.
