November 9th of this year I had a big boss gobbler sound off for a good two hours after sunrise in livingston county. He flew down and never made another sound, walked within fifty yards of my tree with his beard dragging the ground all alone.

they gobble all year around here...... more in the spring of course, but there was 11 gobblers that roosted below one of my stands during season, they gobbled on the roost nearly each morning, and flew down and played some kind of crazy game... 1 turkey would down another one, 3 or 4 more would come over and kick the crap out of it, and then theyd take of running, then they'd pick another turkey and go after him..... it was nuts, they did that several mornings, making all kinds of racket......... got on my nerves after a couple days of it lol

Yeah, all year round, but as far as when I get out and start listening to them gobbling, in about 3 weeks, to the first of March. At least that's when they start on a regular basis in my area.

You'll hear em gobbling once in a while all the year long, but to me they really start getting after it mid march. It just gets better from there.

couple days ago, before the storms came through, I watched two toms in full strut circle and harass 6 hens that were out feeding in a field. the warm temp had the gobblers fired up but the hens were completely ignoring them. they strutted and gobbled the entire 15 minutes or so that I sat there on the side of the road. got my blood pumpin
