Face guarding?,Swat forward?,Where did these calls come from?Luckily somebody told the refs at halftime that they should just give the game to the pastriots or call the game fair.

Great game! Real defensive contest. I'm glad the Giants beat them. How bout Brady? He wasn't hitting the receivers most of the night it seemed like to me. He got HAMMERED all night.

Brady endured the exact same thing that Romo and Favre did: A hat in his grill every time he dropped back. I've seen some great Super Bowls, but this has to rank right up there at the top, just behind Franco Harris' "Immaculate Reception," IMHO.

When the congressional powers come down on you,and you're a 6th round pick, you play like a 6th round pick.

Some were saying Brady was the greatest before this game,Brady may go to the jail house if he does not answer truthfuly to Specters Q's.

Brady was a 6th rounder,always will be.

I just thought of something...the "Immaculate Reception" was against the Raiders, so that would have had to be in the divisional playoffs. Maybe this was the best ever......

I was a little disappointed with the commentators after the game. They couldn't seem to give the Giants their due. Jimmie Johnson was the only one that would say that the best team won tonight. They kept talking about how the Patriots should've won, etc. It was really disappointing. Bradshaw had to bring up Brady when he was interviewing Manning after the game. If I were Manning I would have found it hard not to slap him in the mouth. "Don't talk to me about him, I just won the superbowl.

Im at work so I dont get to talk to much about the game tonight, I pretty summed it up in another thread, got out played, out husseled. Pats lost. No excuses. Oh, Turkeytalker, Brady is the the QB with most tds in a season, and has the most Super Bowl wins among active QBs. Get all the hating in you can, Still 18-1, no other team has done that. Not taking anything away from the Giants, they won. Congrats.

You can't "face quard in the NFL" the defensive player must turn around and look at the ball to make the play. Face Guarding is legal in College. I did not think that the Giants intentially batted the ball forward, but this is an illegal play. The rule was put in about 25 years ago with the Steelers or maybe it was the Raiders purposely "fumbled" the ball forward as time was running out to score and win the game.

That is not entirely true.....

But they didnt lose the one that mattered the most!

There have been two other teams that went 18-1..... The 84 49ers and the 85 Bears both went 18-1 and both went on to win the SuperBowl.....In fact I believe the 85 Bears played the Patriots in what was at the time the worse arse whoopin ever seen in a SuperBowl........Of course you patty fans forget about what an embarrassment you were back in those days.....It wasnt until the advent of digital video equipment did we see the Patty's emerge as a dominant franchise........

It was the Raiders very own Dave Casper that "fumbled forward" resulting in the rules we have today.....

They call face gaurding nearly every game....In fact it is so common that often times quarterbacks will throw behind the recievers to get the call......

Fumbling forward doesnt occur to often but its a good rule in my opinion.....

Face Guarding ie. pass interference, was the penalty in the endzone againist NY what gave the Pats the ball on the one in the 1st quarter. That setup their first touchdown.

Yes, that does happen but it is dangerous. A good DB watches the receivers eyes and they can/do turn around just in time to make the interception.

It was a great game.I really didnt care who won.The best part of the game was poopy lip peyton watching the big game.Seeing his brother win the big one in his 4th year, what it take peyton 9? Brady the 6th round pick,3 super bowls,Id take that pick anytime.

Lyman nice to see that you got plenty to say, you was quiet for well over a month. Guess you didnt have much to say while the Colts sit at home and licked thier Oreos. Id take Stetson over molested cookies anyday.

lol...its called taking priority over studies vs. sitting on the internet. Stetson??? Bet that goes real well with some eastlands, parachute pants and a nice stone washed jacket....theres your molester outfit. BTW...sorry you guys didnt win...I know the fan base was seeking some more bandwagon jumpers. Man...I love Tyree. What...no Probowl? Guess ol' Toms back hurt after spending most of the superbowl looking at the roof of the dome. I got it...an analgesic rub with a hint of Stetson..now thats marketing!

Must be dedicated. School over the Christmas break, must be a freakin doctor by now. Im surprised Peyton worked that hard to get the cream out, I figure he just suck it out like he normally does. Oh I guess Brady could show up, play 2 series, then sit out the rest of the pro bowl, on the bench give prep talks to people who have only won 1 super bowl.

I dont know about that, but the Giant's defense on him sure made him a bit gun shy. He flat out muffed some throws to wide open recievers. 250 linebackers running at you full speed tends to do that to a QB. ANY QB....

If Peyton had done that some folks would be calling him a pus..
