After another painful night, talking with my general practitioner, the surgeon and the physical therapist I have made the decision to have back surgery. I just feel like I have exhausted all options and if anything I am getting worse. I slept very little last night and the pain today is horrible and for the most part constant. My quality of life is basically nonexistent at this point but I am hopeful for a speedy recovery. I will be out for at least 3 weeks. Surgery will be scheduled for sometime next week either Tuesday or Thursday.
Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

I feel for you done been through that 2-times. Do like i did put a recliner by the computer so still can surf when you feel like it.:D
Best to you. Who's your surgeon? While they're in there, have 'em put in a couple grease fittings, it's helped me tremendously:D

prayers sent Marty. Speedy recovery.
Good luck, I hope it goes well. I had one 9 years ago, liked it so much I had another a little over 3 weeks ago.
If you are having the pain, get it done. Delaying it on leads to more permanent nerve damage. My last was a disk removed from my neck, I woke up pain free and was on my feet in 4 hours. No pain since. The lower back one took awhile, but pain is gone and back is go as it was before.

Thanks guys! I really appreciate it. Surgeon's name is Dr. Thomas Becherer associated with St Joseph Neurology group (Dr. Tutt, Dr. Ravine also). I have heard really good things about them plus a personal friend of mine who is a general practioner went to school with Dr. Becherer and says he is very good. I guess he must be as he has done this surgery on a few NFL players over the years and they are still playing. CM12 that is a good idea! Maybe I could get something like a gun or bow holder installed as well, lol.
