It's very difficult to stick someone in a box of democrat/republican. Most lean one way or the other but will vote how they see will most benefit them. Most (if not all) of the Democrats I work with have said they will NEVER vote for Hillary or Obama.

I agree with not leaning solely towards voting just for a Republican. I have actually voted for a few Democrats that I felt were more in control of what the area needs and doesn't need.

I'm a registered republican but will vote how I see fit.... I don't know what I'm going to do if Mitt romney gets the nomination, I can't stand that man.. He always just stands there with this lil smerk on stage, and he's all for BIG corporate tax cuts and stuff. oh well................. If it comes down to him or billary I might have to stay home come november..

maybe ol ron paul will run independent

I am a conservative.....

I vote republican because they are closest to my beliefs, although some are not conservatives they are still closer to me then the democrats. I will never vote for a democrat for 1 simple reason. They will vote with the party every time on issues that matter to me. A democrat could say they are against abortion and raising taxes but when it comes time to vote they will be strong armed into voting with the party. They have to because the party will withhold money and support the next election if they don't. Thats why I will never vote for a democrat, Even my own mother....:o HEATH

If ole Ron Paul runs independent you might as well skip the elections and give it to the democratic nominee. He would pull enough conservitive votes from the republican nominee to ensure the dem gets the presidency. Look at the whole picture....a Hillary or an Obama in the white house will be the end of the USA as we know it. If you love it think about it look at their social and economic policys If you think going to the mailbox is easier and better for out country than working then vote away.

ANYONE BUT BILLARY OR O'BOMBA

I AM A REPUBLICAN IF ANYONE DIDN'T CATCH THAT

That's how the conservatives put Bill Cllinton in the White House two times. They voted for Perot in enough numbers in the right states to give Clinton the win in the Electoral College.

Had Perot not run we would have never heard of Clinton outside Arkansas once the 92 election was over.

I am curious. I am not in any way being a political smart @#$.
I see those red county, blue county maps of Ky after every election. A large majority of the counties are always red. This has really been the case in the last two Presidential elections. Jefferson is always blue and several eastern Ky counties are always blue. What makes the people in these counties in eastern Ky always vote Democrat?

I can't answer for the rest Perrymax but I am a Dem. that votes the best candidate, which does'nt always mean the Dem.It seems this upcoming election is like all the rest, no one to choose from, at least thats what everyone always says, that and, "the lesser of two evils".I make no bones about it, I am a John Edwards supporter, but it looks like he has'nt got a chance. I find myself liking Huckabee a great deal, but I don't have blinders on so I wont rule out Clinton, McCain,O'Bama, or even Thompson! I generally try to make my mind up after a few debates and see how they handle each other. The only one I am definately ruling out right now is Rudy, I dunno just something about that yankee attitude he has that rubs me the wrong way. So, why does all of western Ky. always vote Rep.?

ross perot was smarter than clinton anyway... but oh well

the country is in a lot worse shape now than it was when clinton was in office. you can say what you want, but when bush ran for president he claimed he was going to run on a mild foreign policy and this and that, and then the whole government goes wild... not just dems or repubs, but i think the whole dang town has gone mad......

i'd say we could run the country on 60% of what they use and actually be more secure, to many levels of bueracracy in washington...... it sucks

I don't like Dems "soft" stance on illegal's, I feel like they are soft because they know it helps them get votes.

I don't give a damn if a man wants to marry another man, if thats what they want to do, hell, let 'em, (if nothing else it will help lower populations and open more room for hunting)

Im Pro choice.

I like republican foriegn policy and strong national security stance.

I side with republican economic policy as well. (lower taxes, less social welfare)

I also like the republicans support of gun ownership rights.

I guess Im sorta moderate, but Im starting to lean with republicans because the issues I care the MOST about are the issues that they support.

Man o Man, dude...You got blinders on or what....Mr. Bush wasn't even a full year into his first Term, when those sick Bast@$ds from overseas attacked American Soil. They killed over 3,000 Americans in about 1 hours time. Of course his Foreign Policy changed, who's wouldn't after this occurred.
Again I ask you and all the Democrats out there, name just 1 Democratic President who has ever given money back to the American people. I can tell you TWO that have...Gerald Ford was the first one and George Bush was the second one and he did it twice... Did you so soon forget about the money he sent to every American over the age of 18 or everyone American who filed a Tax Return, prior to the Rebate checks being mailed.

Enough of the Leaders in the House and Senate voted for the War on Terrorism and after it's taken this long to keep up the work on the fighting. More of the same Congress people have turned their back on the President and are using the War as a Scape goat to try and win votes from people who think like you do. This is how the Democratic Snakes get into the Presidential Office in the first place.....

It took 12 years of Hard Republican Leadership after Jimmy Carter's time in office to clean up the Democratic mess, using Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr. Now it's taken 8 more years of George W. Bush to help restore this Country back to where it needs to be after 8 years of the Clinton era.... Now the Democrats are trying to put a Clinton back into Office again.

Sorry but War's take money to support them. Why do you think the deficit is so large now since 911....None of the Presidents, since both George bush's have been Office have had to face the problems that face this nation when were at WAR...... Now think about that for a spell and see if your thoughts still think as the words you typed earlier......:)

I can answer as to why eastern Ky always votes blue. We are in the fourth generation of welfare handout programs now. They are smart enough to know who the handout party is. I've been watching a line three deep and a hundred yards long this week getting their heat bill paid for by us that work. I went to Montana last year and eastern Ky is much like the reservations I saw there. Just sitting around waiting on the first of the month always being kept down with handouts and absolutely no initiative in life.

While there is some truth in what you say Kytrapper, ALL the of dem's I know are decent, hardworking people that don't take a thin dime from the Govt. I have 9 aunts and uncles on my Fathers side, 11 on my Mothers side, approx. 40 first cousins on each side, all dem's, and not a single one on the proverbial "draw". I know of one family here that are all on the draw, the gradparents, parents, and all the kids, but I have no notion of their politics. To say everyone on the draw is a dem would be wrong. Those kinds of people generally don't vote(at least I have never seen any at the poll I vote ) but it's true that if they do, they will vote for whomever will line their pockets the most.If the repubs ever came up with a program to give them something..........they would all be rep's!:D

MsgMills,

I hate to say it but there was ONE democtat President that gave back Americans some of their money, John F. Kennedy. His tax cut was large and was working then later when Johnson saw the money coming in he decleared war on the American taxpayer and turned this place in to a welfare state where it's been ever since.

I don't say all are that way. I was speaking in generalities. Just as MOST gun control, abortion activists, and welfare recipients are blue. There really is no denying that fact. I have a friend that works for the state hwy. dept that is an engineer and is very intelligent. He perplexes me by voting left usually but he's coming around. I think there are just an awfully lot that vote that way because daddy or papaw did. The left are Marxists now, Socialists at best. The right is left or where it should be also. I just wish more people would do some honest soul searching and really understand why they stand for who they stand for.

democrats are definitley not the same that daddy and pappaw voted for all these years. a lot of hard working pro union employees support dems, and i support them for that. unfortunatley the dems promote others things that come along as well. its like making a deal with the devil, you won't win.

dems act like they are are for the common man, some of their platforms are, but the other social programs they rave about won't do anything but weigh the economy down and in return the common workin man down as well.

That's one of the things that I can't understand also. It's common to hear that statement " Democrats are for the working man". The only way I see that to be true is that they definitely do keep the working man working to pay for all the handouts. The Republicans are more where Democrats used to be when everyone's daddy and papaw were Democrats and the modern day Democratic party is radical left of where it was then. We eventually are going to reach a point where working people will have less than those that draw. In all actuality welfare recipients have more expendable income than we do. No grocery bill, rent is paid, heat is paid, lot's of kids aith ADD that draw a check, then someone gets another check to take care of them, and several others. The more kids spit out the bigger the monthly check and then they learn this as simply the way life is and then they repeat it when they get old enough to have kids. For instance, I took my son to get an eye exam yesterday and it cost me 88.00. Those on the draw pay nothing. It is absorbed by those of us that pay taxes. I just ask that voters think before they vote and support what they do with their vote.

agree, and to vote in the primaries here where essentially, the race is decided, u pretty much have to be registered democrat.

I am voting for Hillary in the primary though if Obama wins anymore states. Got to do my part to defeat that guy!!
