looks like st. is going to win, it's hard to win playing 3 on 5..
i think miss. st. got some calls to really go there way, varnado fouled several times and never got a call.. ahh well...... ky just doesn't have the man power with meeks and jasper out, and barely enough then

They missed the Miss St player grab the rim on defense. Would have changed the game.

yeah they did, missed gordon's forearm several times, right before they called the foul on crawford, he'd gave him a big shove

what the heck happened... i was at work. did we play bad?
That was one of the worst officiated games I've seen in a while. We were getting hammered in the paint and then we get called for a hand check at the other end. The play where BG got T'd up was crap. Crawford got body checked by about 3 players and no call.
They totally took Patterson out of the game, he wasn't even a factor. That means that we only had 2 offensive players on the floor in Crawford and Bradley. Our chances are not good when it's 5 on 2. I'm really shocked it was as close as it was considering, but I never felt we were going to win. This is one game where we really could have used Meeks and Jasper, maybe one of them can play 10 minutes of so on Sat. before they either get sick or injured and have to miss another 2 games.

I agree!!! My wife asked me several times why a call went a certain way and I kept saying because they are playing in Mississippi.. After what, 10-11 block shots, doesn't pick up the first foul till 5 min. left in the game.. Bull crap!!!
In the post game Gillispie said about Vernado, "He's a great shot blocker, and he doesn't foul, OBVIOUSLY.":D

I initially thought they were going to get their backsides handed to them. They played the best game I've watched this season. Not many being that I'm on the left coast. Looks like they are starting to come around.
