Peabody Selling Land

.....all they own in Indiana, so I'm told. Asking price is $2000 per acre. IDNR is trying to find a way to buy it all.

Is this ground in Pike/ Warrick county? I thought the Interlake foundation was trying to sell all of that ground. If that is who is selling it that ground has been for sale for ever. And 2,000 per acre is way to much. But maybe its not the same tract.... HEATH

5 years ago, I would have said gas would never be 3 dollars a gallon, and if it ever got there.......no one would buy it!:D

Any word out on any additional Kentucky Peabody property sold and to be removed from Ky WMA program??

Don't know of any additional KY land but you never know...just get an updated map. It all looked the same to me as last year except for land they are remining now.

Yep the entire area is being remined..sucks because I had some good fishin holes there!!

I don't know what they have in mind but a friend of mine told me last night that all Peabody property in Warrick county is being gated .

Are you talking about the ground around spurgon or the ground closer to Aurthor JCT? I am a little confused on which piece of property they are selling. I know where Interlake was trying to sell a bunch of land and that was 10 years ago. HEATH

Peabody owns very little if any property in Pike Co.. That's Old Ben, Ziegler, Kendall, Enos, Addington, or who ever owned it last. Almost all of Peabody is in Warrick Co.. Peabody might own as much as 20% of the county.
