Bald Eagles

On a recent Kayaking trip on the tailwaters of Nolin Lake, which runs through Mammoth Cave National Park, 3 adult Bald Eagles were spotted by myself and the crew I was with. I was quite shocked, it was the first time I have seen one. One actually flew right over us about 100 feet. Just thought I'd see if anyone else has seen any Bald Eagles and where?

I talked to Rutnbuck today and he saw one flying near Perry Park in Carrol Co. today about 11 am.

Saw 2 while fishing @ C-land conley bottom area the weekend before christmas....

I've seen 2 in bullitt co. near the Salt River almost every year in Jan/Feb for the last 5 years. Unbelievable when they dip down and snag fish!

i saw one today in owen co it was on the stretch between Perry Park and Gratz Ky on the Ky river not far from where it was i saw a deer carcass so i am assuming thats what it was after

I've seen them on KY Lake and there are lots of them on Reelfoot Lake in TN we see them every year while duck hunting.

I used to see 1 or 2 every year up a barren river lake while duck hunting in January.

Did you kayak to the park, or start at the park? Do you know how far it is from the Nolin tailwaters to the park?

I have seen Bald Eagles across the river near Newburgh IN. Just Northeast of Henderson, KY

I see several around Nolin and Rough River lakes this time of year.

I have seen the one at Newburg several times. It has a nest on french island.

I didn't know that was were it nested. It has been seen a couple of times in town.
