The wife and I spent few hours in LBL this morning. It was a dark, dreary morning but the eagle were out and active.

I find it funny that folks have to travel hundreds of miles to watch eagles. We have to be careful to keep from shooting them over our snow goose spreads in SEMO. I have seen as many as 10 in one field at one time eating dead geese. Horseshoe Lake refuge in Southern IL used to be covered in them also, for the same reason. I have enjoyed watching them in the winter while crappie fishing on KY Lake for years. It is aggravating that some bays on Ky and Barkley Lakes are closed during the spring so they can nest. Seems to me that there are plenty of them around so they shouldn't have to be granted special protection in the spring.

Nice pictures and good camera !

The wife does all the work with her Canon EOS digital Rebel 8+ mega pixel, image stabilization, etc....she can talk that talk like I talk .223, .308, etc:D

It still amazes me. The picture with fish in the eagle's talons was taken at near 300 yards.
