Does anyone have any experience with the Tikka T3 Lite? Any feedback is appreciated.

I bought a tikka t-3 lite in 22-250 for a calling rifle when hunting coyote and after shooting this one, my remington 700s stay in the safe. I have shot several brands of factory ammo in my tikka and have yet to shoot a 3 shot group over an inch at 100 yards from a bench. Mine likes the remington umc 5o gr. jhp and will shoot .5 inch groups with this load. The tikka has the smoothest action and one of the best triggers of any factory rifle I have ever owned( remington use to be this way several years ago). I am considering buying another in 270 to deer hunt with. If you buy one, you will not regret it. Probably the best rifle I have ever owned.

I just bought one yesterday in a .243. I haven't shot it yet, but am hoping to do so today. I'll let you know how it goes.

Well I took it out last Saturday and thought it shot pretty good. I got it down to about 2 inches at 100 yds, shooting just one type of ammo and trying to zero in the scope. With a little more work (i.e. letting the barrel cool between shots, trying different ammo brand), I know I can get it better.

But the trigger is awesome. And I haven't even made any adjustments to it yet.

I have heard a lot of positive results out of the T3 lite. The only complaint I hear from people is that the recoil in the larger caliber guns is a little much. It seems that as long as you are shooting a 25-06 and below everyone is giving great reviews on the gun and its accuracy seems to be great for a factory rifle. I shot one in a .243 and was rather pleased with the grouping at a 100 yards.

I have one in 30-06 and have to admit there is more recoil in such a light rifle but when the nine pointer walked out I didnt feel a thing..

Seriously, I am very pleased with the rifle. Tried 1 brand ammo, got very good results, so I havent done a lot of experimenting but I have to say it is as accurate as they claim. My favorite thing about it is the super slick bolt - fast and smooth. I also love it when moving through the woods because of the light weight. My only complaint is that with the thin taper barrel, sighting in took a looooooong time. I could fire once and the barrel would heat significantly but I guess thats the trade off.

I scoped mine with a Burris Fullfield 3-9X40, adequate, but it aint a Leupold. I may rectify that later.

Good luck.
