Has anyone used these? Do they always return your scope to zero?

Not exactly, perfectly, 100%, no; but they are excellent to have, nonetheless. In the field, and on deer-size game or larger, I don't think you'd be able to tell the miniscule difference, actually. Put it to you this way, I like to carry my rifle with the peep sights (ghost ring) all the time, and leave my QD scope, (mounted in "scout rifle" fashion), tucked away in a case in my daypack. If, while hunting, something comes up past, say 200 yards, and it doesn't look like I'm able to get much closer, it takes but seconds to get the scope mounted. And I take the shot with confidence. (I live in Alaska, and if a bad bear situation comes up, I don't want anything but my open sights!).
As for real numbers, at the range, my groups have never moved more than about a half inch, overall. Even taking the scope off and remounting it between shots, it's pretty hard to justify concern re: FIELD accuracy. I blow on the mating surfaces, and, after mounting, loosen then retighten both levers, in the same order every time.
I guess the real question is how big the target you're shooting at is, and what the range is going to be, I don't let myself take shots, ever, past 300 yards, and the smalles thing I hunt up here is Dall Sheep, usually moose, so less than an inch at 100 yards isn't much.
