What's your thoughts on these two manufacturers for rifles? Is one better than the other? If so, how much better? Either one better than say Ruger, Savage, or Remington?

Tikka is a Sako brand, CZ is Brno made in the Czech Republic. Nothing wrong with either one of them, but there's nothing wrong with the others you have listed either, so this one comes down to price and how much you want to spend.

I have owned all of the rifles you mentioned. If you want a sub MOA gun with a great trigger out of box get the Tikka. The gun is super accurate, and has a Trigger as good as most aftermarket units. All of the others are fine rifles too but, will need something, either trigger work or more. Just my opinion.:D

My Remington 700 Mountain LSS needs nothing. Leupold VX-II and Leupoldl mounts makes for soda bottle cap, yes, cap shooting, at 225 yds. Called it, shot it, then done it again to show its not luck. Its 6.75 lbs w/o the scope.

Have a Savage that needed trigger work. Bought it in 94 or so. Never shot more than a 1" group at a 100 yards. Even in the sitting position. no bench.

Was going to buy a Tikka T3 Lite, but the Remington was prettier, plain and simple, so I bought it. I know nothing of the CZ or Ruger.

Both are great rifles,i think the Tikka looks and feels like a sledgehammer but they shoot really good.

CZ has a backward safety for most American users but are very accurate and likely to have great wood for a cheaper price.

Savage is the only American rifle i'd put in this group, the other two left it along time ago.
