Okay, guys, you know that for most I have this serious affliction of being a Cards' fan. Obviously, I enjoyed Saturday night. Most other nights I'll root for both. As a credit to both schools, when was the last time you saw a game played with that level of intensity? It's rewarding to be a fan of two schools where the word "quit" is not tolerated, and given the depth of that rivalry, I thought the players and coaches displayed a huge amount of sportsmanship and class.

Spoken like a true fan of the winning team... It sucked! (Spoken like a true fan of the losing team).[:D]

Rick was sandbagging all year -- talking like they stunk. As a Card fan I always get these phone calls after the cats win -- but the last two years my phone has remained quiet. The day of the Cards had to come sometime and now they are here.
I really see the Cats having a hard time with the Cards in B-ball for some time, unless we play in March and I'd hate to see that. The Cards best players are only in their 2nd year and the best Cats are Seniors.
Nonetheless Sky is correct, it was a hard fought game and I would have HONESTLY been happy if the Cards just gave the Cats a good game, because they are good and I kind of like the Cats also.
Hummm..... 3 post and still civil![:D][:D]
A good game it was. Cat's didn't have the legs to finish the race.[V][V]

I am torn between both schools. I have always been a Cards fan but then my oldest son started attending college at UK. It is amazing how loyal one becomes when you start sending tuitition checks twice a year!

Sky,
I just wish that WE still had YOUR coach, and then I could have been magnanimous in VICTORY.[:(]

It's just another example that Tubby can't win the "big one" with his own players. They could have put a thumping on UL if they could have maintained the intensity of the first few minutes. Unfortunately, Tubby forgot to recruit a second string worthy of wearing a UK uniform. I'm actually considering purchasing some Carolina blue for a change of pace.

After being at the game last night with Toledo, the Cats may have picked a bad time to run into the Cards. The boys in red are really hitting on all eight right now--their intensity was just incredible, even during the mop up. Plus, you add the Garcia emotional factor and great team chemistry, and it begins to resemble a feeding frenzy.
Interesting oddball stat--in the Cards' last three games, the opponent has scored 56 points.

I used to just not care what UofL did before Pitino and Terry Miners tried to make anybody upset with Pitino's move to Louisville look like uneducated idiots. Now I just plane hate'em. I'd root for Tenn 1st.

same teams switch coachs Cats would have won...
even in the interview tubby was lacking for excuses/words to describe the loss...in 3 different interviews i never once heard tubby say a congrats to the cards /or game well played...Rick talked highly of cats but you know he was smiling behind those words
"A wise indian once said, the more you move the less you will see,the less you move the more you will see"
" I live to hunt, but my wife says i may be hunting a place to live"

Awww, if it doesn't have fur, fins or feathers, I don't care anymore. College ball is starting to look like pro ball......... I'll still keep up with it some, but not the way I used to.

I'm smart enough not to get goated in to "conversations" such as this. But, Roy's boys are going to come into Rupp and leave the Cats licking their wounds if they (meaning the Cats) underestimate them as they did UL. Who knows, maybe Tubby had them looking ahead to Austin Pea. lol
I'm sure they felt big and bold after beating a powerhouse such as EKU.

yuck gsp!
Ain't no underestimating the Cards if you practice on X-Mass, maybe that was it -- they over practiced and were too tired. No wait, last year they did not practice on X-mass and that was the reason last year. Sorry, I am just having fun with this.
We have a blast with this around the office and I am totally out numbered -- over the years they have had so much fun with me and I am finally getting a little pay back. The Cats are awesome and when Pitino is gone they will probably dominate us again, but I'm getting my licks while I can, cause I sure take em. Folks, we all know Big Blue has dominated the B-ball games in the past and they will always be good, who knows with us, we might be nothing in 5 or 10 years and you all can go back to wopping on the Cards.
I truly pull for the Cats when they are not playing the Cards. Maybe I am wierd like that, but I like the regional teams.

I was at the game last saturday. i left disappointed. Cards took it to the cats in the second half. On of the funniest things at the game was when the gym was chanting "Go Home Packer". It was great.
Always a cat fan, not a tubby fan.
It ain't braggin, if you can back it up.

I think Pinto is the best B-Ball coach period, anywhere, of any time. He has three outstanding strengths: First, he is a great recruiter; Second, he has the ability to make each player, individually give 120% and in combination, to work together as a team; Third he is the floor general, no one sees it better, defends it better or attacks it better than slick Rick. But remember, he left us at the alter and he will also leave Louisville a wasted and broken hearted wretch when the whim strikes his flighty fancy. Dance while you can, your time to pay the fiddler is coming too.

Talking about Rick – we know he may not stay, but for the time he did he has bettered our program and for that, I personally will be thankful. He stayed at UK for 8 years and turned the program around. Turning the program around and winning a Natl Title would not be what I called left at the alter. Maybe I call it “divorced with the 7 year itch.” [:)]

KSP I'll agree Rick is a great coach, worth three times the money they pay TUB , Rick can get three times the work out of a player because he can make a player believe but Tub just has trouble getting his guys to stay at court side.If Rick had the UK team there would be some great wins , spelled blowout. Let's watch another Uk game now.

Tubby has a hard time speaking in unbroken sentances much less motivating young men. I bet it takes 100 tries to get his commercials right. Hopefully, the NBA will come calling soon and we can get back a more exciting style of basketball. The team seems to be disoriented or just apathetic. Maybe we'll make the NIT this year.
