So the Senate passed our new energy bill and even though Bush has been against it all along he said he would gladly sign it today. Why the change of heart? Well according to ABC news last nite there was a brief mention of the trade off. A multi billion dollar tax break for ......you guessed it the big 5.
Yep, I guess since we are going to be saving so much energy which equals less oil usage, that we must help the oil companies survive and continue their record shattering profit streak. GIVE ME A BREAK!!!!!
So for those of you who think they are just good honest business people, your wrong, they are actually part of the government. Who knew:rolleyes:

Well lets see...a man who has his roots in the oil industry, and is a known supporter of big oil is elected president. After seven years, we are in a war for oil, oil companies are making astronomical profit, and oil companies are receiving huge tax breaks.....and this surprises you why?? This sort of stuff is the sole reason I dont base my vote only on ONE issue.

But he said the only way he would pass it is if they gave the oil companies tax relief so yeah he may not be entirely in their hip pocket but somebodys hands are somewhere. Not sure if its the hip pocket or front pocket.
