Does anybody know a good WMA , that one could stand a chance at seeing a bobcat? I went to LBL about a month ago. I called all day, moving often, and nothing. Never saw a coyote either. Is that place call shy or what?

I have seen several bobcats at LBL. Saw one in Area 1, Demumbars Bay.
One in Area 5 , Sugar Bay. one in Area 6, Taylor Bay. One in Area 10, close to state line. Probably a lot of predator hunting pressure, close to roads. Try some remote walk-in area.

A partner and I found quite a bit of cat sign in the LBL this afternoon. And called in two coyote's. Killing the rascals is another story! The Lbl requires a lot of work on your part.Thermal winds are the biggest problem you have to overcome. Getting in deep into the area away from the roads is a nescesity. I'm hiking 3/4 to a mile in to a setup. But it's paying off in numbers of called animals.Jimmie
