For those of you that have never seen this it stands by I-65 in the rest area as you enter Alabama from Tennessee. It has been there for years. It is a Saturn IB launch vehicle built at Redsone Arsenal just east of that rest area. I think it would do the trick on a wary groundhog, or make one big hole trying...:D

That rocket has been one of my landmarks since the late 70's -early 80's when I commuted back and forth from Louisiana.I have several pictures myself.They have a Nasa Space Camp for kids near there and an astronaut training facility if I'm not mistaken,Huntsville,Alabama.

Yep your correct on that. Reason I was just there was to pick up the grandson at Redstone Arsenal from his army job training.

I pass by that thing every year on my way to FL, I have only stopped at that rest area once that I can remember.
