I thought it was an awesome game...4 Freshman and 1 Sophomore beat the so called 20th ranked team in the nation. Talk about too much one on one basketball by the Cardinals. Come down the floor and as soon as they get to the 3 point line, they launch the shot. Didn't matter if anyone was underneath the basket for a rebound at all....
Really looks bad for U of L and the UK Cats this year.

The UK- UofL game is going to be a suck fest. At least us UK fans are not the only fans in agony this season. I don't know what's worse, knowing you suck and ending up sucking worse than you thought or thinking you were good and ending up sucking.:D

I hear ya ART, but maybe UK will have a little more fire power for the game against U of L.....
Honestly, looking back to the final 5 games in which U of L won those last 5 games against the bottom of the Big East Teams.... They went into the NCAA tournament and lost in the 2nd Round....Then when the new season starts...The College Coaches select U of L as a top 10 team. Based on them not losing anyone from last years team and talk of the 5 game win streak they had at the last of last season.... U of L didn't add a top player to it's lineup and everyone thinks they should dominate this year....
So how is it that they should dominate? They don't add anyone of high caliber playing potential and most if not all the teams U of L lost too have basically back the same players as well this year.
I know they have had some injuries, but this team shouldn't even be ranked in the Top 50...I will predict double digit loss's this year again for U of L, and they will probably not even make the NCAA Tournament. If they do it will be because D. Padgett and J.P. come back from their injuries and do somewhat help this team make the Tournament.

Their ranking was based on addition by subtraction. Massive mistakes are always made in the pre-season polls. Hell, UK was ranked in the top 25 at one point. Now that's funny right there, I don't care who you are.

top 25 was really not that far of a stretch before the season started, before jasper and meeks got hurt. i know u think jasper sucks but we sure could use him, and meeks is one of th best players in the sec, so its really not that funny....:(

We could use Brandon Stockton at this point.

Great game. Purdue should be sitting good going into the Big10 opener vs. Michigan. Young team but Kramer plays like a senior and Grant is hitting from outside like David Teague had the past few seasons. Gona be a hell of a team in 2-3 years. Pitino needs to borrow coach Knights whip and get his children in shape (Sosa)...

Give credit to Purdue's D. Scotty and Robbie kept UL out of the paint all day and forced those 25 footers... Hopefully IU has the same problems come 2/19. ;)

The best thing going for Purdue basketball is what I consider to be one of the top young head coaches in college basketball today. I got to chance to sit in on a Matt Painter press conference after Murray beat a very good SIU team in Mick Cronin's first season as the Racer HC. I was so impressed with his graciousness in defeat and it struck me that maybe he was the better coach of the two -- he and Cronin. He and Bruce Weber are of the same mold and with the way Matt preaches tough, in-your-face, aggressive defense, coupled with his top-notch recruiting skills and I'd be glad to have him as my head coach. Good for him.
