If you could either purchase a new rifle, or upgrade a scope on one you already own, what would you do?

It really depends on what you need and what you have already. There's a lot of good mid price range scopes out there that as better than the high priced scopes of 10 years ago. So, you have to look at what you have and what your going to do with it.

I feel really weird right now. I realized I've got more rifles than I could ever really need. I've got a couple that I've never even shot. I don't need any more rifles (shudder).

I really don't need any more scopes either but I think I may need a good 36x scope for informal bench shooting. That's my answer.

I've never been to the point that I'm not lusting after a rifle. I'm gonna go to the doctor tomorrow cause I must be sick. :confused:

If the rifle shoots good and your happy with the caliper, I'd put a killer scope on it.

If the rifle is a good one, I'd have to say a scope upgrade.
Been upgrading some scopes the last two years.

Hey Auk, I didn't know you liked Benchrest shooting. Do you ever get over to Somerset to Buckcreek Gun Club? Great bunch of guys and some darn good shooters are regulars there.---Mike Ezell

I'd love to have one of the new March scopes on one of my bench guns.

I would have to upgrade the scope, after all the rifle is only as good as the glass (in most cases).
