Dipping is a good way to protect the outer surfaces and get a non-glare finish to boot. Of course you will still need to clean/lube the inside like always.

I'll send you a PM with more info and ideas

I had mine dipped by Duracoat in Georgia. I was not very happy with the result. The seams were uneven and the coating didn't go into any recessed areas, and didn't adhere well along the rib. I would not recommend using them.

Duracoat is not a dip on coating but is more durable if done right.

Again, I was not impressed with the finish.
