View Full Version : Sounds like the Ducks are flyin today in WKY!

A few buddies of mine hit up a slough this morning that had been pretty dry. They havent had much luck all year but killed 21 by 9:00 this morning even had a couple of pintails in the bag!

I know the rain is nasty but with that front line just north of us If I wasnt working I sure would be out there!

yeah, when I'm back in BG takin finals! Oh well, I'm about to drive back and hunt in the morning...if I think I can swing the extra gas money! Had a quite a few birds near us Saturday, killed a couple. Should have killed more, but my gun was holding back my shootin skills:rolleyes::D

Hunted in the back of a bay on Ken. and seen more ducks than I thought I would. Ended up with two pintails.:)

Hunted in the back of a bay on Ken. and seen more ducks than I thought I would. Ended up with two pintails.:)

He sure was quackr. He waits 'til his brother was at work & then calls me this morning while I'm sitting at my desk and gives me that news. Needless to say, I was a bit jealous. That's the last time I suggest where he should hunt when I'm not there.

Yeah Yeah Yeah....we won't begin to talk about that day!:D Lets just say, I should have gone out and shot that gun before I took it dove hunting...the skills have improved with it quite a bit, but they are still not up to par with my other beretta for some reason?:D

Went again today, same spot and seen maybe half as many. Nothing after 8:30. Had one group work, they circled twice but never did come in. No shots no ducks.

yea we just now got a lil bit of water in the sloughs behind our pit. maybe the ducks will fly a little closer now:D

the place where the 21 was killed is our place. It has been slow there all year till monday. guess the ducks were following the head water. killed 23 the next day but didnt see as many ducks but it was still good. killed all gads and mallards on tue, mixed bag on monday. Going back in the morn since were suppose to get some more rain tonight.
