While working up hogs this weekend I got to thinking, could you cure out a deer ham like a country ham using the same process? I have been working on a country ham and was wondering what a deer ham would be like done the same way.

I've had a few sugar cured at a processor. They are pretty darned tastey.

You can cure them the same way....and they are pretty darn good..:D

we cured one and it was nasty maybe we did something wrong we did a salt cure like my grandpa use to do hog hams and it wasnt fit to eat. how did some of yall do them that they were good.
