Not sure why this bothers me so much, other than some genius is getting a big salary to come up with this stuff and ironically they think they are clever, but anyway...

1. Grill advertisements always show an entire grill full of vegetables. Nobody buys a grill so they can grill their green peppers.

2. The vegetables are always RAW, yet...

3. These raw vegetables always have a ton of grill marks, even the ones on the top warming shelf.

4. These grill marks never match up to the width of the grill fins or wires or whatever you call them. I mean, the grates on the grill will be 1" apart and you've got grill marks on these raw vegetables that are 2" apart.

5. These grill marks are always as black as can be, and really thick. To get grill marks like that, especially on raw veggies, the grill would have to be very dirty, yet this is on a brand new grill.

6. The shape of the grill marks could never happen. For example, if you have a green pepper and place it on the grate long ways, would you expect to get a grill mark from bottom to top? No, the stupid thing is a concave shape and the grill is flat.

Just irks me how stupid crap like that can get into a nationally published advertisement.

Me to ; another thing is fast food joints, just look on that menu at that burger, mine never looks like that! Hardees seems to be the worst, in my opinion.Should be against the law, for false advertizing! just my $.02 worth

Wow. All tore up over grill marks in advertising. You do realize they are just ads, and that they are just trying to make the picture more pretty don't you? I seriously doubt anyone has EVER bought a grill and was disappointed because the food they prepared on it didn't look like it did in the ad.

It just irks me that somebody is making big bucks making pictures as retarded as these, and I bet they're real proud of themselves. I could care less about any false advertising claims, I just think it looks really stupid, not "more pretty". Raw veggies with fake magic marker lines isn't more pretty to guys who grill alot. It's just funny that all kinds of different grill manufacturers shows the same stupid kinds of pictures.

It's not like I'm mad anyway, it's just humorous in a sad and ironic kind of way more than anything. I just got a good laugh out of it while shaking my head over the poor soul who was clever enough to think of it.

Its simple you are a perfectionist, I saw the steaks you grilled they were perfect, and you were proud of them. Normal people dont take the time to do things like this. Some of us do.And its hard for us to look at how the rest of the world does things. That kind of thing bothered me for years,I am just now starting to get over it somewhat.I noticed that I dwelled on that kind of crap for days, still do, but it dont do no good. I have found out after 42 years, people want things to look perfect weather it is or not,but to me whats on the inside is just as important as the outside.

What really ticks me off is that they use white elmers glue instead of milk when making cereal commercials, because milk looks blue when photographed
