you can create a drawing on those tree fungus things? My son knocked a huge one off a tree. The underside is pure white and not a mark on it. He would like to burn a whitetail drawing on it, but I don't know if it would stay preserved. He has a wood burning kit, but not sure if breathing the smoke could be a health issue.

Just wondering if anyone has heard of doing this and maybe some tips on how.

We stayed at a friend's cabin in the Adirondack Mountains. Everybody that stayed carved or wood burned a fungus instead of having a "guest book". Part of the fun was hiking the mountains to find just the right fungus. Some of them were over twenty years old. Just wash your hands when you're done.
