Looking to buy a new scope after the first of the year for my shogun. Right now, I have the red dot that it came w/ but really don't want that for slugs (interchangeable barrels). So possibly something to switch back and forth between season that I don't have to target in every time.
Anything I need to be looking for or recommend?

I just bought a Leupold VX1 1x4 shotgun scope for my slug gun. It is clear, gathers light pretty good and has a great field of view. $199 at Gander Mountain.

Yes, obviously. Get the very best scope you can afford. A cheap gun is far more dependable than a cheap scope.
