Is the Midway tract still open for hunting?

Nope...closed for re-mining. Check the kdfwr website, they have updated maps. I was kinda sad, I was planning on whackin some ducks on midway next weekend:(

...not really...should be good for hunting sometime in the next 30 to 40 years after they stop mining it:D:eek:

Lets see now, in the past 4 years, i lost Gilbraltar, Midway & the Vogue tract is in the process of becomming unhuntable! I had some turkey hunting honeyholes there that i still cringe over losing. It has really taken the wind outta my hunting sails!

It sucks, I lost the only one I actually knew. I knew midway like the back of my hand. Didn't really hunt it except for rabbits and fished the heck out of it. Now looks like I will have to drive around and look at the other areas and hope for a few spots to duck hunt. I know one spot on Midway, that I would put money on saying that nobody or not more than a couple people have been to in the past 3 or 4 years....I never told anybody but one buddy, but now it doesn't matter!!! Bass almost every cast...over 4 lbs, and this august ducks EVERYWHERE!!! I was hard to walk to but worth the sweat and blood from thorns!!:(
