I posted this on the private site but it should be here as well.

Here I go again thinking outside of the box. At first I welcomed the thought of having commisioners. I tried to pick a fair representation from all districts and all interests. After getting an overwhelming amount of E-mails from folks wanting to be a commisioner it then hit me. I was getting the majority of interest from folks in the East. A few in the Central and less in the West.

The thought then occured to me why we even have commisioners. It's because the old way was to write or call your commisioner and express your thought and opinion. If enough calls were made or the "right" one called the wheels were then set in motion. The commisioners were basically a line of communication that is slow and cumbersome.

Alas, that is the old conventional way of doing business. We are unconventional. I then asked myself how can I do this organization justice by doing business the old conventional way . Especially when I had so many willing to help.

The answer is I can't. There is no way to do it on an even basis and besides I did not want to let anyone feel left out. Besides we don't need a conventional type commisioner and all of the channels you have to go through to get our voice heard. We are connected in real time via the web.

Yes I freely admit I am computer challenged. A wise leader admits his weaknesses and strives to improve them. I admit my weakness and I hope you all bear with me at times. I also know our srengths though, and it is COMMUNICATION.

So from this day forth I will not recommend we have any designated commisioners as that is the OLD way. I encourage that all members be commisioners. They are the ones in the woods and on the water talking to every day folks like ourselves.

So from now on the chain of command will be the Officers. They bear the burden of the functional "monkey" on their backs. Next will be the members. They have the burden of stepping out from the crowd and gather and report information be it positive or politely negative. Last and CERTAINLY not least is the public. I say if you have a comment lets hear it. If you agree with us then step up and join.

Bravo there Xtreme. Why make the Chain of Command any longer than it has to be. Hey, are you related to a Todd Hahn, an Roger Hahn here in Mount Washington? Just wondering. Went to school with Todd and Roger was my realtor once. Keep up the good work Pres!
