Well my buddy had been telling for since summer he had seen a MONSTER. Once he got to 3/4 draw with a bow but got busted and was worried he'd never see the deer again. So the first morningof gun season he goes hunting and sees nothing so he left that spot early and went to the farm where he had seen the monster buck,at about 10:30 he saw a doe followed by a buck and nice 6pt and followed by a bigger 8pt and he passed both of those and all of a sudden HE showed up 75yds walking the same trail after the doe. When he raised his gun the sling swivles squeaked and the buck pinpointed him but it was too late .... right behind the shoulder and he tried to wait but couldnt wait long so he went to track and found the giant only 20yds. He told me the deer had some trash and he thought it might go 170+.... i think he'll do a little better than that!!!!!! congrats for a awesome deer and a great friend!!!!!

22" inside spread, 15pts, 13.5" g-2's incredible mass, double main beam. this deer has it all!!!!
UPDATE::::: it's green score is 195 1/8 !!!!!!!!!

Well if he doesn't want to disclose county that me hard to hide for the fact I'm sure someone will want to publish an article on that one. That's one awesome buck and a big Congrats to him for holding out on what he knew was there. My guess he'll be in the top 5 for the state if not leading the way after it's over.

That is a buck of 10 lifetimes he looks like he would have a 170" typical frame add all the trash and I think he will go 200 or better.

If he killed that deer on a farm that he doesn't own, where he only has permission to hunt on, and word got out where he killed it....

there would be others trying to get permission to hunt there...

In fact, people might start worrying the landowner to death trying to get permission to hunt.

I can sure understand why he wouldn't want to tell the location where he killed it.

BIG congrats to your friend!Doesnt matter where he killed it,just be thankful that ky has deer like that. Everyone here knows good and well that if location got out,the "ghosthunters" would be jonny-on-the-spot within hours.
I bet Pennyrile had a record number of hunters this year

Thats a great buck....I don't know how well it scores but who cares.

One thing for sure...keep your mouth shut about where it was killed. As soon as a big one is killed on public ground it gets hammered beyond belief. Kill a big one on private ground and some guys will do everything they can to get on that piece of property and the guys with deep pockets will roll in and pay what they have to to get the farm and it's buy buy honey hole. If I get another big one I'm keeping my mouth shut if I can.

Guys knock off the county arguments please. This thread is about an awesome, awesome buck that any deer hunter would love to take. Let's commend the gentleman who was lucky enough to harvest him and respect his wishes no matter how silly you think they may be.

Tell your buddy congrats and to keep his mouth shut. I would not tell any of these clowns where he was hunting. Buck of a lifetime, time to celebrate it does not matter where it was killed, it is none of our business. To many hunters going around looking for the accomplished guy truck any more, it is sad that it has came to that but thats the fact. I do not care where it was killed.....that is one heck of a buck.

Hey now. There's no sense in making ugly comments like that. Just say "nice deer" and don't give the guy a complex. :D

Man what a deer!

Great deer. Congrats to your buddy.

Not like it is a huge deal where he killed the deer it will be in the 08 book all the top bucks that are officially scored and turned in are in there along with weapon, hunters name and county. Almost any county in the state has this potential. Keep the eye on the prize boys that is an awesome deer. Congrats to the hunter.

One reason to not name the country is...lets say he hunts two farms in different counties. If he tells the county then he will tell the people who know him where he killed it. Then it doesnt take long until the spot gets covered up by buddies, cousins, neighbors, etc....

Thats the down side to telecheck showing the persons name. I'm not so sure people will not call their kill in and enter it under a different county.

195 will be a non-typical score right? cause of the xtra beam- still huge though
