i hunt in Casey county and i have noticed that most of the bucks that i have seen don't have a big spread. is this a coincidence or could it be in the genes????

I hear ya,
I have a small farm that joins the Pennyrile Forest in Christian County and all we seen are forkhorns and a small 100 inch 8 pointer! Not seeing a whole lot of deer movement either. Today was the first time we saw a buck shadowing a doe.

probably genes. hunt spencer co. farm thats what we see a lot of. but 2 miles down the road the racks get bigger, just the area your in. those genes will get there eventually.

maybe it's not bad genes but just young deer. Wait for that good one to show. I've been waiting over 10 years now! :D
