All the dang squirrell have eaten them all :D I've seen enough squirrells to last a lifetime. I've only seen a few chipmunks.

I was just reading an article on the effect of West nile on small mammals. It sure have done a number on muskrats.

I don't think we have any in north western Ky. At least not where I hunt. The only one I've ever seen in the wild was at LBL. He was in a old block foundation of a long gone house. Maybe it's not rocky enough here.

I dont know about chipmunks, but the squirrels are out in full force! This one squirrel hopped around my stand all evening Saturday. He should thank the lord he is still living. I had the crosshairs right on his head, but couldn't bring myself to potential mess up my huntin. :D

Anyone missing their chipmunks, please send me address/contact for arrangement to pick them up. They are on my farm and I wish you would come and get them.

I haven't noticed a decline in chipmunks in Whitley. They are still scampering everywhere and sound like a deer in these dry leaves.

I saw a ton during the muzzleloader season, not so much this past weekend. But I've been hunting a different stand too.

Now, I can tell you that EHD has not affected the squirrel population one bit.

Nor the coyotes. We've killed three so far and seeing many more than usual.

To me this is like reminding yourself about an old back pain you used to have that went away. I had two alert all of Henderson County Sunday morning that I was in the woods.
