Saw 2 this morning around 8 that were moving kinda fast. Couldn't tell what they were, guessing does. Heard all kinds of shots this morning in my neck of the woods. Most I heard in a few years on opening morning.
My brother who was with me killed a small doe around 830.

I drove around this morning around 11am saw lots of hunters coming in to fuel up or get food. Didn't see any deer our of 30 hunters no one had a deer.
It really surprised me, I have been in W. Kentucky for 3 years and here in SE Kentucky now Big difference in deer hunting and the amount of monsters. It would seem

From reading some of the posts here; I believe the Deer are moving more at night. Evening hunts might be your best bet.

Morning: I had a spike and a 115" 8 point come into the woodline I was hunting. I pondered taking the buck as he had a big body and swelled neck, but he looked to be only 3 1/2. I may regret that one.
Evening: I had a yote come in and he offered no shot and then at 5pm a little 5 point came into the urine trail I laid down. I just took video of him. After looking at him, I have over 20 pics of him on my trail cam.
Good day, can't wait for tomorrow!

Man the little bucks were out cruisen. I drug a urine drag in behind me to my doe decoy. I saw 4 bucks before 9:30 and they all came in on the drag trail. First a spike, then a basket 7, then a 2 1/2 avg. 6, and finaly a basket 6 at 9:30. Stayed in the stand all day and the only other deer I saw was a spike at 12:00. 5 little bucks, I was pleased. I'm hunting down in S.E. ky and I think the big boys are still not all the way ready yet in my area. All I'm finding is little rubs and seeing little bucks cruising as well. Any day tho....

i dont think thats the case, but deer always move at night ,unless its storming real bad...the deer were moving alot from were i was,and my friends said the same also,i counted 72 shots before 9:00 opening morning..talked to them this morning on the phone, while they were in the field and both said it sounded like yeasterday morning.
