The top shots were at 200y(3 shots) before zeroing and the bottom were at 300y(2 shots) after...the other targets are in my buddies truck...the good ones.

I have looked at this post several times ,and tried to resist this but i gotta call BS on the yardage claimed. That is a really nice savage predator rifle and i'm sure they shoot well but the one i looked at had the tupperware camo stock and thats not really a top notch stock. But what the hell it's the internet after all "flame away"

CROWSNIPER; you mean you dont fire a 3 shot group at 200 yards, before zeroing your rifles!!:D

CROWSNIPER; you mean you dont fire a 3 shot group at 200 yards, before zeroing your rifles!!:DNo.Normally i would fire 1 at 50 then adjust, fire a couple at 100 then adjust 2" high ,go to 300 should be on the money,400 adjust 3 MOA for drop,500 adjust 7 MOA for drop, but hey thats just me.

Well since you guys want to call bs...put some money down. Next time I get a new rifle, I'll let you guys know, you can meet me where I sight it in and pay me. If you want to call me a liar, then I don't give a #*$&, I posted the groups because I was amazed by them for being the first few shots with the gun. I have witnesses on this, but you would probably say they lie too. The reason its a 3 shot group is because I shot groups of 2 or 3 shots just to make sure the rifle is off and not me. The reason that one has 3 shots is because I thought I missed on the second shot.

You guys might call BS but, I have a Savage 110 in 30-06 that will shoot less than 1/2 inch groups at 100 yards. Don't doubt what he says at all. I wouldn't be on paper at all with a new rifle but, it doesn't mean he wouldn't.

thanks, without a bore sighter I can hit paper at 100with first shot, only missed paper 1 time. I hit paper at one hundred, then hit it at 200 on this paper.

They make some fairly sweet laser bore sights now, need to look into one sounds like it would save you some ammo.
No doubt he didn't just throw a scope on a rifle and shot these groups, but he could have.I hate savage rifles but i want to hear someone put down their accuracy.
Barney & Crowsniper go buy a new rifle, put it in a vise, remove bolt and look through the barrel at your target, move until you are satisfied at 25,50,75,100yrds..Fire gun.
Savage rifles have no doubt the capability and scopes play zero part in repeatable accuracy.Awful little target though

Well, I wasn't there when he done it, but I have a Savage model 12FVSS in 22-250 and it will stack them. I can't shoot as good as him since I don't have a vice, but I don't doubt the rifle can do it. I want me one of them Model 10 Predator Hunters bad...

I really like savage rifles, they shoot well. What i called BS on was the YARDAGE claimed,it says 300 i say no way.Invest in a rangefinder.Factory rifles do good to shoot MOA which would be 3" at 300 yds IF it shot 1/2 MOA at 300 yds that would be a 1.5" group which would be spectacular. The group posted is less than 1 inch.GET REAL! Tell you what if youre brave enough post the story, pics on other websights snipershide,24hrcampfire,predatormasters,varminthu nters ,longrangehunting and see what kind of response you get.I have shot plenty at long range and i know better.

I have shot plenty of shots out to 300 with many different rifles. I have a range finder, we actually had 2 people with 2 different range finders ranging the box while I placed it out in a field. Thats fine if you want to call bs, I was there and so where 3 other people when it happened. I have picked up a thing or 2 from my buddy(who happens to be a sniper in the 101st), I'm not saying I shoot this good all the time, again, the reason I posted it was because I was amazed by it too.

That's money man. Nice groups you've got there. I had a sweet time trying to sight my Ruger in.. DHull knows. I wouldn't call BS on that at all.

I will agree with CrowSniper, I've shot longrange with this guy & he knows what he is doing;) I love SAVAGE firearms, I have two of them, model 12FV varminter .223 & a 64FV .22LR both will hold good groups,IMO best out of box accurracy for the money. But the Synt. stocks on these guns are JUNK, very weak & flex to much:( I just think that maybe your yardage is a little off:o

what good is a group if you don't hit the bullseye:confused: Is it some new way to sight in near the bulls eye and not on it? Are you just trying to show the gun shoots consistant tight patterns no matter where it hits?.......Wasn't sure as one pic was before zero and one was after.
