Ketucky's all time bucks?

I was looking at the fall 2007 issue of Kentucky Afield and noticed A deer missing from the list and don't know how or why it is not on there. In 1997 Joey Smith took a 243 3/8 non-typical w/ a bow in Lewis Co. any idea why it is not listed?

No, He past away about five years ago. But that is the deer that I am holding.

This is a set of reproductions of that buck. I think that 243 3/8 should make it Ky's #1 w/ a bow.????

I think I remember Joey's buck going to panel not too long after it was officially scored and the score was dropped to 234, instead of 243, still should be #1 with a bow.

That is one of my favorite all time racks of any deer I've ever seen.

Do you own the rack? I never got to meet Joey, and I'm sure sorry about his death, I heard he was a great guy.

I'd love to see that rack in person.

Really can't appreciate that rack from the photos. Getting your hands around the base provides so much more respect for the quality of that deer. One of my favorite racks ever seen as well.
