First deer spotted in two weeks....

I went hunting tonight and saw the first deer on our farm in the past two weeks. I hunted on a funnel in between two hollows and when i got down i went to the edge of the bean field and watched as a heavy bodied spike came out and fed. This was the first deer i have seen in a while but during the early season we saw many bruisers including the one my dad killed that scored 173" that was posted on here. I have even found fresh scrapes and huge rubs so i was wondering if anyone else had the same problems?? I only know one thing for sure I cant wait for that rut to kick in!!!

man i know what ya mean. i saw the first buck last saturday. i saw an 8pt in sept. but all of oct. i havent seen anything! im gonna try to hunt 2m and see if i can get a birthday gift!!!

I had the same thing going on where I hunt. There was no sign at all until around muzzleloader weekend, and then it showed up overnight. I was able to take a decent buck just a few days after finding all of that fresh sign. Hang in there and hunt that hot sign.

Be patient. Patience will pay!! I hunt private ground in Muhlenberg county. Some of the best deer country in the area and the whole state. But I have had only a few sightings. The deer are there!! There patterns changed a LOT with all the warm dry weather. The deer had to travel long ways to find water. The deer will be back in your area and soon. The funnel should provide a great chance soon with all the traveling going on back to your area. When you kill a nice one let us know.

checked the cams today that was over a scrape...to my disapointment it was a 5 pt. too bad his dad wasnt on there:(

I checked cams today....all at night and not 1 buck in the daytime.
I got over 850 pics on my trail cam in a 2 week span, and all I got was one button buck and a 4 pointer:mad:.
